Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust are undertaking a major capital development of a Cardiac and Surgical centre. Open Art have been commissioned to undertake the development and management of an integrated arts programme to add value to the build process, by enhancing the environment and creating a connection between the building and the patients, staff and local communities that use it.

Artist Claire Parr created initial concepts for the interior schemes and two artists, Hull based artist Sarah Daniels and Jane Revitt from Hebden Bridge, are working with staff, patients and a range of community based organisations in the area, to develop a series of works for the new building.

The programme is expected to be complete in November 2008.
