Open Minds in Grimsby is a brand new open access service, on the high street (previously a shop), designed to support good
mental health and well-being. The service, run by North East Lincolnshire Community Trust Plus, offers a drop in facility
for any member of the public who wishes to find out more about maintaining good mental health and mental health concerns.
Open Minds also offers various group classes and one to one support.
The brief for this project was to make building feel unique, welcoming, vibrant, comfortable and to push expectations of what a health facility can be. Artist Claire Parr worked with the staff team to develop interior concepts and create artworks for the building. The project illustrates the impact that can be made by a few select and thoughtful choices.
