Tattoo

All kinds of people have them in all kinds of places. There’s usually a story behind them and people love showing them off! So when artist Kate Genever stopped people in the street, she didn’t have to work too hard to get people to reveal theirs – tattoos that is (although they did look at her a bit funny at first).

Tattoo collected the photographic evidence of body art in Cowlersley and revealed just how widespread it is – men, women, young and old had something to show. And so those who didn’t have one didn’t feel left out, the tattoo designs were traced from the photographs and arranged into a new design... for a tea-towel? Well, everybody uses them and every household got one!
